High Octane Fun

Alton Towers One of Britain's largest theme parks, Alton Towers has rollercoasters aplenty. Just a 55 minute drive away.

Drayton Manor An hour away, and for slightly younger thrillseekers, Drayton Manor offers rides to suit everyone, as well as a zoo!

Aerial Extreme Based at The Trentham Estate, 30 mins away, Aerial Extreme is a high ropes course catering for all levels of bravery.

Ironbridge Gorge 40 minutes away, with ten award-winning museums, Ironbridge Gorge is the ideal place to learn about the Birth of Industry.  Experience life in a Victorian town at Blists Hill, or enjoy a family day out at Engenuity, the interactive science museum.

Gladstone Pottery Museum Learn about the world famous Stoke-on-Trent pottery industry at this working museum. Watch a pottery throwing demonstration or try your hand at making your own. 40 minutes away.

RAF Cosford Aerospace Museum Situated next to an active airfield, this museum contains over 70 aircraft of international importance. And it's free! 25 minutes away


With Birmingham just half an hour on the train from Stafford, or less than an hour's drive, The Bullring is within easy reach.  Or why not try Shrewsbury with its exclusive boutiques and independent shops, just 50 minutes away.  Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford and Telford are all also easily accessible.

History and Nature

There are many National Trust properties within easy reach of Oulton House Farm.  The Shrugborough Estate, Mosely Old Hall, and Wightwick Manor are all within 45 minutes' drive, to name a few. 

The Trentham Estate With its award winning gardens, Shopping Village and restaurants, and Monkey Forest, The Trentham Estate is a great place for a sunny day.

With the Peak District, the Shropshire Hills and Cannock Chase not too far way, a great day's walking is easily achievable.  We also have plenty of footpaths surrounding the farm for local walks.
